SVM AND VxVM

Q) Difference between SVM AND VxVM?
A) Solaris volume Manger:
1) In svm we can increase file system size online but cannot shrink
2) File system can spam multiple disk
3)We can implement raid levels and svm is a inbuilt operations no need to install package ( PLATFORM DEPENDENT)

Veritas Volume Manager:
1) In veritas we can manage physical disk as a logical devices called volume
2) Here we can increase / shrink the file system size
3) VxVM is a third party  product ( Veritas) , and it  needs installing  software packages ( PLATFORM INDEPENDENT)
